Recharge & Recovery: End-of-Year Functional Reset
December doesn’t just crowd your calendar; it floods your body with inflammatory signals that drain energy, cloud thinking, and disrupt sleep. We unpack a year-end functional medicine reset designed to calm the immune system, rebuild mineral balance, and restore true resilience so you can end the year clear and start the new one strong.
We walk through a data-first roadmap: a consultation and metabolic blood panel to assess inflammation and detox status, IgG food sensitivity testing to pinpoint delayed immune reactions that fuel joint pain, brain fog, migraines, and skin flares, and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) to reveal long-term mineral patterns, adrenal reserve, thyroid effect at the cellular level, and nervous system tone. You’ll hear how removing reactive foods lowers total immune burden and why mineral ratios like sodium to potassium and calcium to potassium explain “normal labs” with abnormal fatigue, anxiety, or stubborn weight.
Then we layer in solutions that move fast. Customized IV therapy delivers clinical doses of vitamin C, glutathione, B complex, magnesium, zinc, and NAC at full bioavailability to jump-start detox, immunity, and mitochondrial function. A foundational supplement stack supports ATP production, inflammatory balance, and gut stability with mitochondrial antioxidants, purified omega-3s, and a clinical-grade probiotic featuring Saccharomyces boulardii. Expect practical insights on symptom relief timelines, smarter upgrades like hormone panels or GI mapping, and why this season is the ideal window to test, not guess.
If you’re feeling puffy, foggy, wired-tired, or stuck despite “doing everything right,” this is your blueprint for calibrated healing. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review to help others find evidence-based strategies that actually work.

Welcome to Harmony Hub Health, where my mission is to provide comprehensive, affordable, integrative care that addresses the root cause of health issues. At the Hub, the focus is on individual patient journeys. I strive to optimize health, vitality, and longevity, fostering a community where each person can thrive in body, mind, and spirit. So there's a reason why we feel depleted at the end of the year. We have a full calendar, there's holiday events, sugar overload, a lot less sunlight, a lot more stress, there's more travel, there's more disrupted routines. It all pushes the body into inflammatory overdrive. So if you're feeling puffy, foggy, tired, irritable, or you have low motivation, it's not just the season. It is physiology. Your immune system, your nervous system, your gut, your mitochondria, they're all asking for the same thing. Recovery and recharge. This is the best time to pause, evaluate, and rebuild rather than push into January with the same patterns that left you drained in the first place. Welcome to your year-end functional medicine reset, a science-based protocol designed to calm inflammation, strengthen immunity, and speed recovery so you stay healthy, energized, and resilient through the stress of the season. This is my limited edition seasonal promotion that is a beginner-friendly program that's perfect for anyone who wants a simple functional medicine framework with options to expand and go a little deeper later. This reset targets inflammation, which is the silent driver behind fatigue and pain, weight gain, skin flares, low mood, and brain fog. It also targets immune dysfunction. So if you're having constant colds or slow healing, sinus issues, chronic stress responses, that's what we're going for. It targets nutrient deficiency. So if your minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, they're just depleted when you run hot all year. And then we want to target gut and food triggers. These are hidden food sensitivities that keep your immune system on high alert. And most important, your detox capacity with your liver, your lymph, cellular recovery systems. They all need support and not guesswork. So what is included in your year-end recharge? This is not a take a supplement and hope for the best kit. It's a data-driven functional medicine reboot designed to give clarity first, then some strategic support. So we start the program off with a consultation and a metabolic blood work panel. I like to have a full health review and core metabolic and inflammatory markers checked. You'll understand where your energy, your immune system, and detox pathways are actually standing right now. There's also an option to upgrade if you wanted to look at all of your hormone levels. Then we go right to the food IgG sensitivity blood panel. I want to identify the foods that keep your immune system on alert. Food sensitivities are not in your head, and they aren't the same as those classic food allergies. They're driven by different immune pathways, and this is where IgG testing becomes incredibly valuable. IgG is immunoglobulin G. It is the most abundant antibody in the body. Its job is to identify and tag substances your immune system sees as foreign, including foods that are not properly broken down due to stress, inflammation, dysbiosis, or a leaky gut. When your body keeps seeing these foods over and over, it begins to launch a low-grade immune response every time you eat them. This is not dramatic, but it is constant. And when reactive foods are eaten, the body forms circulating immune complexes, little clusters of food proteins bound to IgG antibodies. These complexes can deposit in tissues and trigger inflammatory messengers, including cytokines, interleukins, CRP elevations, TNF alpha. These inflammatory molecules can impact multiple systems, not just your digestion. This means that the meal that gave you no obvious reason on Monday might still be raising inflammation on Wednesday. And IgG sensitivities lead to a lot of different triggers and symptoms for patients like afternoon crashes, weight that won't budge, puffy inflammation, brain fog, and poor concentration. Migraines are very common, tension headaches, even sinus congestion and postnasal drip, a lot of skin concerns like acne flares, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis. I think the number one I see is joint pain or stiffness. And then we have our gut issues like constipation or irrital bowel. And then the mood swings, the irritability, and anxiety. These reactions are delayed, often 24 to 72 hours later, which is why elimination diets fail a lot of people. When we identify your reactive foods, we're doing more than modifying your diet. We're lowering overall immune burden. Every reactive food removed is one less signal telling your immune system to stay in attack mode. We are reducing systemic inflammation because your inflammatory load drops, which then improves joint pain, your skin health, your gut function, and metabolic function. We're also calming the nervous system. Inflammation and anxiety are connected. Cytokines can activate your vagus nerve and alter neurotransmitter signaling. That is the whole inflammation brain loop. Patients often report improved mood, better sleep, less irritability, and reduced reactivity, which is amazing. Um, IgG sensitivities often come from increased intestinal permeability. That's also what we like to call leaky gut. And removing the triggers allows the gut lining to repair. We want to heal that. We can improve hormones. Um, inflammation interferes with your cortisol rhythm, your thyroid conversion. You know that T4 has to convert to T3, your estrogen clearance, and your insulin regulation. When we remove food triggers, then we have smoother hormone balance and we unlock weight loss resistance. Inflammation drives water retention, insulin resistance, cortisol dysregulation, and those cravings. Once the inflammatory load drops, patients frequently lose 5 to 15 pounds without changing calories. It is always so amazing. I would say at Harmony Hub Health, after removing IgG reactive foods, all my patients often experience clear skin within two to four weeks, um, less brain fog within just 10 to 14 days, improved bowel movements within, I would say, one to three weeks, fewer migraines, better focus, better mood, um, noticeable energy improvement, and reduction in bloating and abdominal pain. That is the difference between symptom management and root cause resolution. The next thing that comes in this package is the hair tissue mineral analysis. You'll hear me talk about this a lot. It's also called the HTMA because minerals are the spark plugs of life. This is non-invasive. Um, it measures essential minerals like your magnesium, your calcium, your sodium, your potassium, your zinc, copper, all of the things. It also looks at heavy metals like mercury, aluminum, lead, cadmium, arsenic, uh, thyroid and adrenal patterns. Um, we can look at this by the sodium, potassium, and calcium-magnesium ratios. We look at oxidation rate, which is your metabolic speed and stress response, and just your nervous system function and autonomic regulation. I love the HTMA. You know, if IgG testing identifies what inflames you on your plate, the HTMA identifies what inflames you at a cellular and metabolic level. It's one of the most powerful and underrated tools in functional medicine, especially for patients who fill off but are always told that their blood work looks normal. And blood does show what's circulating right now and what the body is trying to keep in balance, but hair shows what the body has been storing and excreting over eight to 12 weeks. So this is so important because minerals fluctuate in blood within tight ranges. Your body will rob tissues to keep blood stable. Hair reflects long-term status, not just that snapshot in time. Hair helps us see patterns that blood cannot show. Think of blood as a bank account balance. Hair is your spending history. Sometimes I want to keep that private. But minerals really matter. Minerals are responsible for the electricity of the body. It controls your energy production or your ATP, your detoxification, your hormone synthesis, your thyroid conversion, your nerve transmission, um, immune response, cellular repair, and inflammation signaling. You can't out-supplement or out-diet a mineral imbalance. Without balanced minerals, supplements don't work. Detox pathways stall, and symptoms just keep getting worse and worse. What I also love about HTMA, it's not just a list of numbers that it spits out. It gives you patterns, and patterns tell a story. Your essential minerals that we measure, um, like the selenium and the copper and the zinc, these are the control knobs of metabolism, along with your magnesium, your calcium, your potassium, sodium, everything plays a part. Um, and then the heavy metals, even low levels of aluminum or lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, even very low levels can disrupt your mitochondria, your hormones, your immunity, and your neurological function. Um, real-world clinical examples are aluminum blocks magnesium and triggers insomnia, headaches, and anxiety. Copper, if you have too much, it mimics estrogen dominance. It causes you to be irritable with skin flares and it causes worse PMS. And if you have a low sodium to potassium ratio, you know, your adrenals are burnt out and it shows electrolyte dysregulation. Your metabolic type and oxidation rate that I can see by your HTMA tells me how fast your metabolism is running. Some people are a fast oxidizer where they burn through minerals quickly. Um, that's the wired, anxious, reactive folks. And then we have the slow oxidizers who are fatigued and inflamed, sluggish, they have low body temperature. Um, we can determine which supplements actually work for you based on your oxidation. And then not even that, but your autonomic nervous system patterns. Your HTMA shows where your nervous system lives. Are you in fight and flight mode? Are you in freeze mode? Are you in low resilience mode? Or are you like in a mixed dysregulation? This really helps target therapies if you have anxiety or sleep issues, if you have trauma physiology, or even just chronic stress. Um, one of the other things HTMA really evaluates is your thyroid and adrenal patterns. So it reveals mineral ratios that correlates with endocrine function. For example, your calcium to potassium ratio, this is the thyroid effect at the cellular level. Um, sodium to potassium ratio, this is your adrenal reserve and your stress tolerance. Um, your magnesium to calcium ratio, this is relaxation versus tension balance. Many, many patients have normal thyroid stimulating hormone on blood work, but they also have obvious thyroid symptoms. This is why HTMA is such a winner. Mineral imbalances are often root drivers of chronic fatigue, hormone chaos, and skin issues, mood instability, digestive complaints, um, headaches, muscle tension, pain, sleep dysfunction, and poor detox tolerance. When I combine the IgG, which identifies external triggers like food-causing inflammation, and I put that together with your hair tissue mineral analysis, which identifies internal dysfunction, wow, then I can really build a step-by-step corrective plan that includes what foods to remove temporarily, what minerals to replenish, um, what detox pathways need support, what adrenal stage you're in, what type of IV therapy will be most effective, and which supplements is actually going to move the needle? This is where clients go from guessing to calibrated healing. And because it answers questions, patients have been asking for years. Like, here's what I hear. Let me think. Um, why am I tired even though my blood work looks normal? Um, why do I get anxiety out of nowhere? Um, why am I inflamed after doing everything right? Um, why do I crash every afternoon? Or why do I react to stress so fast? Or why am I gaining weight if I'm not overeating? HTMA reveals the why. And once we identify the why, we can finally change the what and how. Okay. What patients experience at Harmony Hub Health, I would say eight to 12 weeks of mineral balancing is more stable energy, better sleep, less irritability, less migraines, better detox tolerance, a lot less inflammation, much clear skin, less of that wired and tired feeling. Their bowels are back to normal, they have better stress resilience. You know, this test changes treatment plans permanently, and results are often rapid and noticeable. The next thing that you get in this package are two wellness infusions, two of them. And at Harmony Hub Health, we don't hang one size fits all IV bags. Your body is unique, your labs are unique, and your symptoms are unique. So your infusion should be unique also. As part of the recharge and recovery reset, you do receive two fully customized wellness infusions that are designed to match your individual needs, your mineral patterns, immune markers, and stress physiology. And there's a major difference between swallowing a supplement and absorbing cellular nutrition directly into the bloodstream. Um, oral supplements, those those are ones that you take and you swallow by your mouth. They have to go through your stomach acid, your gut lining, all of the digestive enzymes, your liver metabolism, and that's first pass filtration. Anywhere along that path, absorption can be reduced, especially if you have that leaky gut or inflammation, chronic stress, low stomach acid or dysbiosis, autoimmunity, or even just malabsorption issues. IV therapy bypasses that digestive system entirely. So this means nutrients enter your bloodstream at 100% bioavailability, delivering immediate cellular support. At Harmony Hub Health, our IVs are formulated to target the same conditions we see repeatedly during urine burnout. So we can address fatigue and brain fog or low immune function or postviral inflammation, headaches, muscle aches, poor detox, skin dullness, dehydration, even irritability and mood swings. We don't guess, we kind of build your infusion. We pull ingredients based on your consultation, based off your IgG, based off your HTMA, and based off of your inflammation burden and your stress and sleep patterns. There's no cookie cutter, everybody gets a Myers cocktail here. Harmony Hub formulations are purpose-driven. Possible IV ingredients we like to play around with are, you know, higher dose vitamin C and zinc, um, lysine, B12, glutathione, magnesium, um, and acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, B complex. I could go on and on with different things I love to put in my infusions, but each infusion is a precision blend based on what your body is struggling with the most. I do think that, you know, oral supplements are great for maintenance, but they do have limitations that IV therapy overcomes. First, there's higher doses. So some nutrients like vitamin C, magnesium, glutathione, you cannot reach therapeutic levels through pills. IV therapy allows us to use clinical doses without GI distress. You get much faster results. Most patients notice improvement within hours to 48 hours. Um, I hear they have clearer thinking, reduced pain or tension, better hydration, better mood, um, and they sleep much better because the IV is 100% bioavailable. So IV nutrients skip digestion, um, they skip your absorption issues and enzyme conversion, which makes them just more effective and fewer capsules are required per day. Nutrients also work better together, especially when delivered at once. For example, if you take vitamin C and glutathione, that gives you enhanced detox and immune support. If you take that magnesium and add those B vitamins, then you're gonna have an improved stress response and nervous system relaxation. If I take zinc and NAC, well, this is gonna support viral defense and your liver clearance. IV therapy can deliver multiple synergistic nutrients at once, which is something oral supplements cannot do effectively. You just simply cannot supplement your way out of cell stress without restoring the minerals and antioxidants that those cells require. Um, the IV therapy just gives us a great jump start. So HTMA and IgG, they they give us the roadmap. Lifestyle and nutrition, they give us the momentum. Together, they do create transformation. And for that maintenance, you are gonna get three clinically selected supplements by orthomolecular. Healing is not just about removing triggers, it's about rebuilding the body's resilience from the inside out. In the recharge and recovery reset, you do get one month of my top three foundational supplements from orthomolecular. They're not random, they are strategically chosen to address the core pillars of inflammation, immunity, energy, and gut stability. These three provide the clinical power stack that complements your IgG and HTMA results. It keeps your immune system strong and supports metabolic recovery while we work deeper with data. The first one is mitochore. This is known for cellular energy, for detox capacity and antioxidant firepower. It is mitochondrial support that's designed to fuel the energy centers of every single cell in your body. So if you have chronic stress, infections, heavy metals, inflammation, and poor diet, um, they all drain your mitochondrial function. This is why mitochore is one of our most requested supplements, because it enhances that ATP and cellular energy, it reduces oxidative stress, it does support liver detox pathways, it promotes mental clarity and stamina, and it helps regulate inflammation. It has so many goodies inside, including um N acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, um acetyl L carnitine, coQ10, the B vitamins, antioxidant minerals. There's so many amino acids in there. It is amazing. So mitochort helps you produce energy instead of borrowing it from your stress hormones. This is why many people feel less wired and tired, or they have fewer afternoon crashes. Have more mental focus and they have improved workout recovery. The second supplement that I love to use is the ortho omega. Um, it's omega-3s for brain, your heart, and your immune and inflammatory balance. Ortho omega is highly purified, it's high-dose omega-3 supplement from sustainable cold water fish. And inflammation, it frequently begins in the cell membrane. And omega-3 fatty acids are critical for reducing inflammatory signaling and supporting immune balance. I like to use ortho omega because there's a high concentration of EPA and DHA. There's excellent absorption. Um, there's third-party testing for purity and contaminants, and there's none of that, you know, fish burp taste that you get with a lot of the other omegas. It does support joint comfort, um cardiovascular health, brain health and mood, um, skin hydration and cellular repair, and immune modulation. This is a cornerstone for calming inflammation driven by food sensitivities, stress, or mineral balance, which is why it pairs perfectly with your IgG results. Um, fatty 15 is also another option that is great as well. The third supplement you get in this program is orthobiotic. This is your gut immunity, this is your bloating control and your improved digestive resilience. Over 70% of your immune system lives in your gut-associated lymphoid tissue, known as your GALT. So if your microbiome is imbalanced, your immune system becomes reactive, which contributes directly to inflammation. Orthobiotic is one of my favorite products because it's clinical grade and shelf stable with diverse strains targeted for immune strength and digestion. Um, there's not a lot out there with that Saccharomyces ballardi, which you really need. And a lot of the probiotics on the shelves, by the time you get the product home, all of the cultures inside are actually dead. So orthobiotic has proven time and time again that even after the expiration date, everything in there is still alive and ready to help you. So it does help reduce bloating and gas, it helps promote regularity, it enhances nutrient absorption, it strengthens the gut barrier, and it supports your immune defense. So I just, I just love all of this. Um, the Sacromyces Balardi is especially good for those with high stress or traveling a lot, but it also has the bufidobacterium and the lactobacillus. So that supplement is particularly valuable after identifying food sensitivities because once reactive foods are removed, orthobiotic helps calm the gut, restores balance, and reduces intestinal inflammation. So there are hundreds of supplements that I could choose from. These three are selected because they address the three foundations of immune resilience: energy production and detox, that's mitochore, inflammatory balance, that's ortho omega, and gut and immune stability, that's orthobiotic. With these three working together, patients always tell me they have better energy, um, better digestion, better sleep, better mood, and just less inflammation. So this is your foundational formula. Um, while we're working on the IgG and HTMA to shape deeper recommendations, which might be Vicon custom. So once your lab results come back with your HTMA, you do have the option to upgrade your supplement program to this custom formula. It's built specifically from your mineral profile and stress patterns because they offer very targeted detox support, personalized mineral ratio targeting, um, adrenal support, and mitochondrial optimizing nutrients. But again, that that is an upgrade that we can talk about as you're going through the program. But why would you want to do the program now? Okay, the end of year is when inflammation peaks and immunity dips, right? So holiday food, that sugar equals immune suppression. You're having more alcohol, you are traveling, you're not sleeping as good, your stress hormones, um, you're being exposed to cold and flu and god knows what virus, and there's a higher emotional load during the holidays. So this reset stops the slide and gives your body the blueprint it needs to thrive, not crash, into the new year. This reset is perfect for beginners because it aligns with the three fundamentals of root-cause healing. Number one, test, don't guess. Number two, reduce inflammatory triggers. And three, let's rebuild nutrient reserves. Once you complete your reset, you'll have the option to expand into deeper functional testing. Um, some of those might be GI Map or the Oats test or my three by four genetics or even a Dutch test. You know, there can be custom supplement plans. There even are peptide protocols, my favorite, or, you know, just comprehensive transformational programs. You are a great candidate for this reset if you have any of the following fatigue, um, afternoon crashes, uh frequent illness, um, brain fog, irritability, bloating or irregular digestion, achy joints or unexplained pain, weight fluctuations, poor stress tolerance, um, trouble recovering from workouts, or just burnt out or just feeling so overwhelmed. You do not need to feel this way going into the new year. This is your sign to hit that reset button. So this is a seasonal limited edition offering um to finish the year strong and start 2026 with clarity. I am um only offering this until January the 5th, um, but this will give you direction. This will give you momentum, you know, all the data, all the support, no guessing, no fad detoxing, just evidence-based recovery and immune strength through the most stressful stretch of the year. Okay, so are you ready to reset? You can find me at www.harmonyhubhealth.com. You can even just text the word reset to area code 410-575-4274. You can shoot me an email at Michelle M I C H E L E at harmonyhubhealth.com, and I would be great to get you started on your way. Let's finish this year with clarity, calm, and a plan.
